HOST Chef Ygael was able to come as a last minute fill in for another chef that had an emergency. He was at our home for the afternoon preparing dinner for that evening and could not have been more enjoyable, even helping a family member grill lunch. Our dinner was beautifully presented and was delicious! Chef Ygael was even able to accommodate a family member following a macrobiotic diet! His halibut was the best I have ever had! |

HOST The meal was wonderful. Each dish had a unique taste. It was excellently prepared and served right on time. Ygael treated us to an interactive knife skills lesson and he was very personable. We definitely would hire him again and recommend him to others. There was plenty of food as we enjoyed the leftovers for dinner the next day.

The grilled vegetables had so much flavor-- they may have been the best we've ever had!! Ygel even shared some recipes and gave us cooking tips!! He also knew exactly how to navigate all of our kosher needs. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I look forward to another one of his meals!!

HOST Chef Ygael prepared a delicious meal for my husband's 40th birthday. Every dish he prepared was so flavorful and interesting. All of our guests had high praise for the cuisine and requested recipes so they can make the dishes at home. We especially loved the eggplant/labneh dip he served with warm pita and the chicken dish was made to perfection. He was a pleasure to have as part of our celebration and would welcome him back to our kitchen anytime |

HOST The Mediterranean BBQ was extraordinary - every dish bursting with unique flavor. Ygael accommodated our not having an actual barbecue by grilling and sautéing most of the dishes. He was also willing to adapt to our special requests. Though he originally planned to come a couple of hours before the event to prepare, he ended up needing to arrive later but called me that morning to let me know about the change in schedule and to reassure me that all would go well… and it did. He also gave us 2 delicious appetizers that were not on the set menu: an unusual 'string yogurt' dip and a homemade babaganoush (the best we'd ever tasted). He's warm, fun and easy to be around. You can't go wrong with Chef Ygael!

HOST We asked Chef Ygael to prepare dinner for us a second time because of a wonderful experience the first go-around. The occasion was a farewell dinner for a dear friend, 8 guests in all. Once again, Chef Ygael delivered a superb meal: flavor-filled tapas, followed by a delightful paella and refreshing dessert of roasted peaches with fresh whipped cream. All of our guests raved about the meal, and Chef Ygael was charming and informative with his description of each dish. We are looking forward to having him prepare another meal this fall! |

HOST Ygael was an extremely enthusiastic chef with a lot of knowledge and skills to offer for the group on 20 people that he taught and cooked for. He was able to involve everyone who wanted to be involve, while simultaneously cooking for such a large group. HOST Keeping a simple menu and local ingredients, Chef Ygael impressed us and our dinner party guests many times over. Everyone had seconds and the grilled kale was the most popular side dish. He was very easy to work with - both prior to the event in agreeing on a menu - and the day of. A pleasant and easy person to have in your house for many hours.
